Details: So you want a Women in Horror Month?! Well you can’t have a Women in Horror Month without Exploitation PIONEER Doris Wishman’s A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER!!! The film BLEEDING SKULL! magazine listed as NUMBER ONE on their TOP FIFTY 80’s TRASH HORROR LIST! AM I USING TOO MANY CAPITAL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS!? NO!!! A Night to Dismember was famously cobbled together from leftover footage, and footage from other WISHMAN movies when an enraged editor set fire to half the film. “Surely that’s why there are so many random shots of inanimate objects, and people’s feet while all the dialogue is added in post,” you say, BUT NO. All those things are CLASSIC WISHMAN! There has only ever been one Doris Wishman, and no other filmmaker has ever replicated her unique, anarchic style. As such there is only one A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER! If you see it, you’ll never forget it!
